IPL 2025 Points Table Rules

In IPL 2025 Points Table, each team earns 2 points for a win, while in case of a tie or no result, both teams receive 1 point each. A loss gives 0 points. If two or more teams are tied on points, the first deciding factor is the Net Run Rate (NRR), which is a calculation based on the average runs scored and conceded per over. The team with the higher NRR is placed higher on the table.

If NRR is also the same, then the team with more wins will be ranked higher. If that’s also equal, then the result of the head-to-head match between the tied teams is considered. In very rare cases where teams still remain equal, the Fair Play Award points may be used as a tiebreaker.
